1975: Granada and Monarch wagons?

One of the most persistent rumors of the mid-late 70s was of a forthcoming Granada and Monarch station wagon. With Chrysler’s introduction of its Aspen and Volare wagon, Ford could not afford to wait long.  Should FoMoCo have put these into production?
