1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Commercial
Though still wearing its familiar florid curves, Chevy’s Monte Carlo was all new for 1978. Downsized to GM’s new A-body, it lost eight inches in wheelbase, to 108.1, and 700 pounds. Despite a wider $4785-5825 price span, sales fell about 53,000 to 358,191.
