1982 GMC S-15 Manufacturer Promo

The All American pick was back. Ford, Chrysler, Chevrolet and GMC all introduced new trucks for 1982, downsized to beat the Japanese minis, and these trucks were good. The GMC S-15 was a masterful blend of GM style, comfort ad all American utility, a Malibu with a pickup bed if you will, same compliant ride same power assisted controls same V6 performance, same comfy interior decked out with every imaginable convenience. At the same time it was a real truck, with double wall bed, 3/4 ton load rating, and optional 7.5 foot box. GM’s excellent 2.8 liter V6 and four speed was a real standout in the class, emulating the quickness of medium size sporty cars from the period.
