1983 AMC Concord Test Drive
For 1983, Spirit was offered only as a 2-door hatchback. The Concord line was trimmed down to the 4-door sedan and station wagon. AMC’s 4.2 liter inline six was the only engine available. Both Spirit and concord were available with choice of manual gearboxes (4-speed standard, 5-speed optional) or a 3-speed Chrysler automatic. Concord sedan offered in base and DL versions only, Concord station wagon in DL and Limited styles. Vinyl roof standard on DL sedan. Oriental red exterior color replaced by Sebring red.
