1985 Chevrolet Citation Manufacturer Promo
Still a capable compact, but with a very tarnished image, Chevy’s Citation II would vanish after 1985 and a final 62,722 orders. Included was a $7200 V6 three door with the sporty $941 X-11 package.

Even with some much needed interior updates for 1985, it was already too late! Similar X-body compacts were replaced during this time. Buick Skylark was redesigned, Olds Omega was replaced by Cutlass Calais, and Pontiac Phoenix was replaced by Grand Am. Chevy would come up with Corsica and Beretta to replace Citation, but that took place in 1987.
