1985 Pontiac 6000LE and STE Manufacturer Promo
The front drive 6000 featured new front and rear bumper fascias and a cleaner, more horizontal grille on base and LE models. Inside, the 6000 was fitted with a backlit instrument cluster. The high profile low production 6000 STE featured a 145 hp version of the 2.8 liter V6. The port fuel injected engine was mated to GM’s 4-speed automatic. This power team was available in any 6000 model. Outside, new body colored taillamps identified the 1985 STE. Rumors were swirling that Pontiac would add an STE Station Wagon.
