1986 Ford Escort Commercial
The top-selling American car through out much of the 80s, the Escort was Ford Motor Company’s answer to the small, fuel efficient cars of its foreign competitors. It was introduced in 1980, and over the next ten years Ford sold more than 7 million of these subcompacts worldwide. The Escort retailed at an affordable price, and it was the most fuel-efficient car in Ford’s American car line.
