1987 Buick Skyhawk Manufacturer Promo
Buick’s 1987 Skyhawk offered more power and hidden headlamps on Sport Packages, but sales dropped more than 40 percent to 6667 units. Optional OHC “performance” engine increased from 1.8 to 2.0 liters, giving 105 hp and 120 bl-ft of torque. Blown versions of the OHC engine had a larger, water cooled turbo, giving 160 hp and could be mated to a 5-speed manual getrag transmission. New near equal length driveshafts said to reduce torque steer. New concealed mini quad headlights and smoked tail lights standard on Limited Coupe and Sport Hatchback. Components of the 1986 T-Types could be ordered separately.
