1987: Revealed! Chevy’s GM10
Chevrolet was the last to emerge from GM with its own version of the GM10/W-car. Engineers within GM were particularly closemouthed about the Chevrolet car due to a late flux of changes that delayed its introduction. Some publications reported that the new care was to be a G-body Monte Carlo Replacement. While it was true, that GM that GM divisions had thus far replaced the RWD G bodies, with FWD W-car counterparts, GM sources were undecided as the name of the Chevy.
