1988 Lincoln Continental Commercials
The first Lincoln with front wheel drive and fewer than eight cylinders arrived December 26th 1988 in a smooth new Continental sedan. Essentially a streched Ford Taurus with 3.8 V6 power, it met an enthusiastic reception, more than doubling sales of its 1987 predecessor, at 41,287 units delivered.The new ’88 Continental boasted numerous high tech features including computer controlled air-spring suspension, variable effort power steering, all disc anti lock brakes, and available “Insta-Clear” electric windshield defrosting.
