1989 Ferrari F40 Test Drive
The Ferrari F40 is quite possibly the ultimate Ferrari ever built. But that’s according to the mainstream automotive media with their handouts from big automakers.P
What does publicly funded MotorWeek think? For a reasonable test of this epic car, MotorWeek had to eschew the backroads of Maryland and head to Italy to play in Ferrari’s backyard.P
There they found that the F40 isn’t super luxurious like a GT car, but is also really really fast. Unfortunately, their testing equipment didn’t make the journey, so comprehensive braking tests weren’t performed.P
However, potential buyers should rest assured that the F40 is “pretty adept at using friction to turn speed into harmless heat.”P
