1990 Oldsmobile Calais International Series Dealership Training Video

Oldsmobile again wooed import buyers in 1990 with sporty International Series Cutlass Calais models. Also noted was a reborn 4-4-2 (Quad-4 engine, four valves per cylinder, two overhead camshafts), a $1680 option package for the S two-door.

    I cannot tell you how much I have always loved this car. I’ve driven a few mid and basic Iron Duke Calis’s and was always very pleasantly surprised. I have an Oldsmobile now in fact.

    always loved the international series. fast as hell and damn clean looking. there are 200 or so 442′s still around yet. i believe they came with the W41 that was capable of 190hp from the factory.(something that no other automaker made possible at the time) same with the Achieva SCX. fantastic cars for the price. and with the old Rocket Parts catalog you could make the Quad 4 into a v8 eater. too bad that catalog is gone. thankfully for us Quad 4 owners, there are still parts laying around here and there, just very hard to find.

      hell yes! glad im not the only one that realized the racing heritage of this engine. fantastic design and great performance brought many championships and records to the Oldsmobile and Quad 4 name.
