1992 Chevrolet Corvette – One Millionth Corvette Rolls off Assembly Line
Chevy passed a major milestone in 1992 by building its one-millionth Corvette, a white convertible with that year’s new 5.7 LT1 V-8, which replaced the old like-size L98 as base power-plant. Also new that year: standard six-speed manual gearbox, optional ASR “Acceleration Slip Regulation” traction control, and extra-cost “Quite Car Package”. The historic Millionth Vette’ rolls off the Bowling Green, Kentucky, Corvette Plant, which hosted Corvette owners and their cars in a week-long celebration.
