1993 Ford Ranger STX 4X4 Test Drive

The compact Ford Ranger pickup got a lot of good changes for 1993. The exterior was all new with a sleek, aerodynamic look, and the interiors were significantly upgraded. A 3.0  liter V6 replaced the old 2.9 liter V6, along with  a host of important mechanical improvements. All in all, the new Ranger was a dramatically better vehicle than before, with four trim levels, two cab sizes, three wheel base lengths, and two cargo boxes. The top engine was the 4-liter V6.
