The people at Infiniti probably grind their teeth every time they hear or read that their I30 is nothing but a dressed-up Maxima. mind you, there’s no shame in that, the Maxima is a fine car. In any case their strategy is a rational one, because the marketing bigwigs assert that the I30 and Maxima are of interest to different buyers. Be that as it may, while its easy to recommend the I30 without any misgivings, but would I own one? No. It’s just too boring. If you’re more interested in the exceptional reliability and sprightly V6 engine of this series, you should go with the Maxima, not the Maxima Brougham!
