1995 Oldsmobile Aurora Commercial
Replacing the hapless Toronado for 1995, the slick all-new four-door Aurora was previewed over 18 months before sales began, so as to whip up enthusiasm for the future of the flagging Olds Division. Despite mandatory automatic and two-ton curb weight, Aurora was quick with its 4.0-liter 250-horse V-8, really a downsized Cadillac Northstar. The interior was “Euro-Japanese” in style and snug in feel, but most every luxury was included in the attractive $32,000 base price.
