The front drive Saturn sedan and wagon received a new look for 1996, the first major styling change since these cars debuted for 1990.  The coupe carried its original design styling for one year longer.  Dual air bags returned as standard, and the sedan and wagon met the, then new 1997 federal side impact standards.
