No compromises, no waiting, no equal. The Viper’s 8.0 liter v-10 engine made 450 enthusiastic horsepower and great sound effects. Power characteristics were above reproach; the Rt/10 pulled like a rocket sled at full throttle, yet was supremely progressive and controllable.

With standard air conditioning and dual airbags, the RT/10’s interior seemed downright modern. It featured adjustable foot controls like the GTS coupes, and the leather steering wheel, shifter, and parking brake handles were color matched (either red or blue) to the car’s exterior hue.
