1997 Ford Explorer 2-Door Sport Test Drive

For 1997, the Explorer 4-door Eddie Bauer received a new standard engine, and overhead cam 4.0 liter V6 based on the standard Explorer’s 4.0 ohv V6 block, which was cast in Germany. With 205 horsepower, this new engine made the Explorer scoot. Check the automatic transmission option box, and this V6 was paired with an all new 5-speed automatic.
