2000 BMW M5 Test Drive

BMW called this the most powerful M car it had ever built.  For just $69,400, you could get the 2000 M5,  a 400 horsepower monster of a sedan.  If you didn’t want to wait until 6600 rpm for all the horsepower, at 3800 you’d find 369 ft-lb. of torque to propel you forward.  If you were concerned about controlling all that horsepower, BMW included in the price of admission to its M driver training course at the BMW Performance Center adjacent to its Spartanburg, SC assembly plant.
