2000 Honda Insight Test Drive

Have you ever thought that it might be nice to be able to get 30, 40, or even 50 miles to the gallon? What about 70? Once only a prototype vehicle, Honda’s insight Hybrid, produced an estimated city/highway mileage rating of 60/68 MPG! They Hybrid was motivated by a 1.0 liter inline three gasoline engine, and an electric motor, with a battery pack, to deliver amazing mileage and produce ultra low emissions. The Insight was built with an aluminum frame and suspension with plastic and aluminum body panels for a total weight of less than 2000 pounds. Airbags, automatic climate controls, and ABS were all standard.
