The big news at Audi was an all-new A4. Powered by an available all-aluminum 3.0L/220 hp V6, the A4 could be ordered with a continuously variable transmission on front drive models. The body structure was 45 percent more rigid, and the independent rear suspension was an all new design. Stability and traction control systems were also available. To enhance emergency braking, the A4 featured brake assist. The new A4’s longer wheelbase provided a roomier rear seat. OnStar was available as an option. An in-dash six disc CD changer was available, along with rear side airbags.
