2002 Cadillac Escalade EXT Test Drive
For the buyer who made a big haul in the stock market and also needed to occasionally haul something back from the home center, there was the Escalade EXT. The Chevy Avalanche based EXT refined the in your face cladding of the former with a tasteful monotone treatment and capped it off with an Evoq-style grille. The EXT was two vehicle in one thanks to a fold down mid-gate between the cab and bed. In the up position, it was a four door SUV with a short pickup bed or large covered trunk. With the mid-gate flipped down, it was a two passenger pickup with an 8.1 ft long cargo bed.
