2002 Isuzu Axiom Test Drive
Based in great part on the Rodeo, the Axiom was yet another bold design statement from Isuzu. Introduced in 2001 as a 2002 model. It was available in both base and XS trim levels and in rear and four-wheel-drive models. All Axioms were powered by Isuzu’s 3.5L 230hp V6. The Axiom was a true truck based SUV, so, in spite of its limited technological sophistication, the Axiom performed well off road. Axiom 4WD models featured a simple form of all-wheel-drive that could transfer precise amounts of torque from the rear wheels to the front wheels, maximizing traction and enhancing handling on slippery surfaces.
