2002 Lexus SC430 Test Drive
A logical expansion of the original SC coupe theme, the new for ’02 SC430 offered on demand open air motoring paired with the security of a retractable, steel hard top. This boldly styled rear drive 2+2 received a 300-horse version of the corporate 4.3L DOHC V-8 matched with a five speed automatic transmission. Other mechanical highlights included stability control, traction control, anti lock brakes with Brake Assist and Electronic Brake Distribution, and 18-in wheels. The SC 430’s wood and leather wrapped interior came with every comfort and convenience touch imaginable and offered a a Mark Levinson stereo, and run flat tires as options.
