2003 Rolls Royce Phantom Test Drive
With Bentley off with VW, Rolls-Royce came to the dance with BMW and a completely new model, hand-built to individual request. Bespoke, they used to call it. But all cars will have an aluminum space frame and be powered by a unique V-12 engine. The Rolls-Royce team assembled at the Greenfield site in Goodwood, England, went to great pains to insist that the Phantom, was built by ‘craftspeople’ who put together the wood and leather as well as the technologically advanced bits of the new cars for the Flying Lady.
