1987: An entrier level Saturn?
What you see here, is the vehicle reliable GM sources identified as the entry level Saturn, a bean like 3-door hatchback. The illustration was prepared from a detailed analysis by a Saturn source ans was, in fact, sketched on a restaurant napkin for emphasis. It represented the “original concept” of Saturn as envisioned before the program was upscaled. In the wake of budget slashing at GM, the highbrow image of Saturn had been softened enough for a less expensive car to return to the lineup.
