1988 Cadillac Eldorado Test Drive
Responding to the lukewarm reception accorded the all-new Eldorado of 1986, Cadillac rushed a number of subtle but effective cosmetic changes into production to help separate it from the other GM-30 platform mates – Buick Riviera and Oldsmobile Toronado. Included were new front and rear fenders, grillework and wheels, but just as important was the 20 percent horsepower increase in the aluminum block V-8 engine.
