1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Test Drive

Cadillac’s big rear drive Brougham sedan was a Fleetwood again for 1993, and fully restyled a la Chevy Caprice ad Buick Roadmaster. It even topped the Buick in sales at 31,773. Cadillac’s 1993 Brougham topped the old 1977 vintage frame with a smooth new body similar to Caprice and Roadmaster. A 185hp 5.7L v8 was included in its $33,990 base price

I loved all of your videos when they were on youtube! I think I almost watched them all! You and your videos are awesome! I hope to see more videos in the future! Also, do you have all of the originals, or did you lose them because of the ban from youtube? I miss the ’02 Crown Vic Sport video!

I owned one these Fleetwoods for over 8 years. It had an unbelievably smooth quiet ride. The 5.7 TBI engine was plenty powerful and remarkably quiet. The ergonomics in the car were 2nd to none and required very little driver interface-examples include: the one touch climate control that would automatically turn the fan on just by setting the temperature, the battery drain protection system that would turn off interior lights if you left one on. It would also turn the headlights off even if you didn’t use the standard automatic headlight feature. The radio had a programmable 5 band equalizer that allowed you to set each station to it’s own equalization. It was a carefree car that was designed for people simply liked to drive and not fiddle around with car controls or worry about things. It could handle abuse like potholes and rough railroad tracks far better than any modern car. It was very easy to maintain and didn’t require any major repairs during the 8 years I owned it. It’s highway fuel economy was surprisingly good. I miss that car. One of the best cars I’ve ever owned or driven.
