1995 Oldsmobile Aurora Preview Test
In an attempt to find new buyers, Oldsmobile created the Aurora, which was distinctly different from the existing range. Gone were the oversized grill and acres of chrome, and in their place simple, clean and modern styling taken from European and Asian luxury lines. For Oldsmobile, it was a matter of do or die. The company had to revitalize its image or fade away. The Aurora faced tough competition with lots of new products form Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes, BMW, Cadillac, Lincoln and Chrysler when it made production in 1995. The gamble worked, and the company stayed afloat…for awhile.
