2002 KIA Optima Test Drive
Kia’s value packed optima was now available with a more powerful 2.7L V6, replacing the 2.5 V6; the 2.4L I4 remained the base engine The base Optima received 15-in wheels for 2002, auto on -off headlights were standard on SE models, and the leather trim package now included a four way adjustable power seat fro the front passenger. Side impact airbags were optional. Four wheel discs were standard on V6 models, with ABS optional. A 10-year limited vehicle warranty and five year unlimited mileage roadside assistance program went a long way toward resolving any lingering concerns about Korean built quality.
