11971 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 W-30 Convertible Test Drive
The 4-4-2 ragtop listed at $3743 for 1971, when Olds switched to net power ratings that put the base 455V-8 at 260horses and the W-30 ill at 300. But hot-car demand was falling fast, so the ragtop netted only 1304 sales. After 1971 4-4-2would again be an option package. Oldsmobile marketed three convertibles in 1971, including the mid sized Cutlass Supreme, which listed for $3507. Other ragtops included the performance focused 442 intermediate and the full sized Delta 88 Royale. Mid size coupes and convertibles had a 112 inch wheelbase; sedans rode a 116 inch span.
That was just plain and simple pornography. Love the 442.
