41973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Commercials
Hoods and fenders were revised on full-size Oldsmobiles, including the $4442 Delta 88 Royale convertible. Grilles, parking lights and front bumpers were new.Like other Delta 88 models, the Royale two-door hardtop had a revised decklid and new integrated horizontal taillamps. All full-size Oldsmobiles were longer this year. Royale was the the upscale rendition of the Delta 88.
Those bumpers are cool, but they were mandated by the government. Damn the man!
forced safety!
Safety? lol I love these old ad’s.. Not ONE talk of MPG. Of course the 455 was rated by GPM (gallons per mile) so understandable that they wouldn’t bring it up. People say cars today are this and that, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the ’70s. Sure there were some cool looking cars then, but quality and safety was NO WHERE near the level it’s at today. Not to mention HP and MPG. Keep them coming Baja! Love these…
there were other marketing efforts that year that included MPG’s!
