1979 Ford LTD Test Drive

After years of pitching “road-hugging-weight” to ever more mileage minded buyers, Dearborn finally followed GM with smaller big cars for 1979. Built on a new “Panther” platform, Ford’s LTD Compromised two and four door base Landau, and standard and country squire wagons. Sales improved modestly to 356,535 units.
