Cadillac billed its new for 1980 Seville as “quite possibly the most distinctive car in the world today and the most advanced.” It had a dramatic new shape with a Bustle-Back Body created by designer Wayne Cady under Bill Mitchell’s Guidance. The look was that of a custom bodied Rolls-Royce. The Elegante option added $2,934 to the base price of $19,662. A total of 39344 first year models were made.
