01980 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sedan Test Drive
The intermediate line of Cutlass aero and notchback coupes, new notchback sedans, and station wagons came to 1980 with lowered front ends, new grilles, headlights, and tail section. Aero-back four door sedans were replaced with new notchback four-door sedan bodies. There were 10 models in all, including Base, Salon, Salon Brougham, Supreme, Supreme Brougham, Calais Coupe, Cruiser and Cruiser Brougham wagons, and the 442 Coupe, in white or black only with special gold trim, built from the Calais Coupe. Engines included the base 231 cubic inch V6, 260 cubic inch V8, four-barrel 305 cubic inch V8, 260 cubic inch diesel, and the 350 cubic inch diesel. Manual transmissions were only available in base Salon models.
