Pontiac’s 1981 Grand Prix slicked down a tad for better fuel mileage, but go-power had got up and gone. A 120 horsepower 265 cubic inch V8 was top dog. The mid-level LJ model sold for around $7800. Some of the concept sketches looked really good. It’s too bad more of those styling cues didn’t make it into the final product.
