21983 Buick Skyhawk Manufacturer Promo
For 1983, a station wagon added to Skyhawk notchback coupe and 4-door sedan. Base engine was now 2.0 liter OHV 4 with throttle body fuel injection driving 4-speed overdrive manual gearbox. Brazilian 1.8 OHC four optional with 5-speed trans. GM’s THM 125C automatic was optional with both powerplants. Custom and Limited trim option groups available in all Skyhawks. Pigskin suede in dark brown optional in Limiteds. Electronic touch climate control added to Buick J-car option list. Notchback coupe offered in T-Type sports model. Available only with the OHC engine. T-Type featured special suspension, forged aluminum wheels. 70-series blackwall radials, halogen fog lamps, full instrumentation and sports steering wheel.

I think it’s interesting that the Buick Skyhawk the other luxury J-car got automatic climate control for 1983 and the Cadillac Cimarron never did. To bad I’ve never seen an actual car with it. I love these cars hopefully some survive somewhere.
