1983 Chevrolet Celebrity CL Coupe Test Drive
Offered in 2-door coupe and 4-door sedan models for 1983. The base engine was the 2.5-liter Iron-Duke 2.5-liter 4-cylinder with the 60 degree 2.8-liter gasoline and4.3-liter diesel V6’s optional. Automatic 3-speed was the only transmission offering, superseded the THM 440C 4-speed automatic overdrive transaxle later in the year. Electronically tuned radios were standard equipment, while the Radio-8-track tape player combination was discontinued.
