1983 Ford Fairmont Manufacturer Promo

The 2-door coupe and 2- and 4-door sedans were carried over through mid 1983 when the new front drive Tempo appeared to take its place. Only the 2.3 four was available with a 4-speed manual, with 2.3/automatic and 3.3/automatic were also available. The Fairmont was still available with handling suspension and TRX Michelin tires. New options included a 100-amp alternator, new calendar/clock/stopwatch. The 2.3 engine had a new fast burn combustion chamber long reach spark plugs, new exhaust manifold high flow 1-bbl carburetor, and full throttle air conditioning cutoff switch.
