Mitsubishi’s flagship in its assault on the US market, the Starion attacked the competitive “affordable GT” segment armed with some impressive fitments: an advanced engine rife with electronic controls and turbocharged horsepower, fully independent suspension tuned for rapid response, and a lavishly done interior. It was a distinctive, capable performance car.
