This model was built to emphasize the idea that Buicks could be exciting and fun to drive cars. It was introduced at the Grand National stock car race at Daytona Beach Florida. Only 215 were built. When it returned in 1984, it had a sinister looking all black body and 3.8-liter sequential fuel injected V-6 that developed 200 horsepower at 4000 rpm. Other features included heavy-duty suspension, air dams, spoilers and special identification badges. Only 2000 of the 1984 editions were produced.
