01984: GM’s X/A body?
The car pictured was known only as the X/A body, a car that was to replace the X-cars accross the board by the 1986 model year. It was a front drive derivative of the X/A family and was to be powered by the ubiquitous 2.8 liter V6, and potentially the 4.3 lieter diesel, but we all know the what happened to GM’s diesel business in the 80s. Buick and Cadillac had no plans of offering this car.
