Civic. The undisputed leader of the four-car Civic line was the CRX. But the Civics with back seats, the redesigned four-door station wagons, sedans and two-door hatchbacks received some new twists for 1984. Most had a split rear seatback, of course, but those back seats reclined and were on tracks for back and forth adjustments, at least in the wagon. The third-generation Civics with the addition of the sporty yet frugal CRX constituted a more formidable presence in the market than ever before. They continued to set the standard for all sub-compacts.
