1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Manufacturer Promo

For 1985, the Monte Carlo received new interior trim colors. Replacing the 3.8 liter V6 as the standard Monte Carlo engine was a 4.3 liter V6 with electronic fuel injection A total of twelve exterior colors, nine of them new for 1985, were offered for the Monte Carlo.

The most important technical development for the Monte Carlo SS was the use of the automatic overdrive transmission as standard equipment. revisions were made in the decal, lettering, and striping of the SS. Unlike 1984, when the SS was offered only in white, or blue, the 1985 version was available in a choice of four exterior colors: White, silver Metallic, Black, and Dark Maroon Metallic. Available as an option were Hi/Lo beam halogen headlights. Chevrolet reported a 0-60 time of 8.4 seconds and a quarter mile time of 16.1 seconds for the 1985 Monte Carlo SS.
