11985 Jeep Comanche Commercials
The Comanche was the truck version of the Cherokee, from which it derived its mechanical base and used either the same chassis or a stretched version. As with the original Dodge Dakota, Ford’s Ranger, or GM’s S-10/15,it lied between the normal American pick-up truck and the imports. Introduced late in the 1985 model year, it was the latest arrival in the utility market, the Comanche was not able to upset its American rivals but it did offer a viable alternative to the Japanese imports.
I remember the Jeep Comanche. It’s a shame that Jeep discontinued it when they did. It would’ve given customers who liked the XJ Cherokee, and wanted a pickup truck version, something to consider.
