01985 Oldsmobile Firenza Manufacturer Promo
The Firenza represented GM’s J-car family, which included two door hatchbacks form Pontiac, Chevrolet, and Buick. The J-+car was slightly smaller than the x-car, but with the rear seat folded there was plenty of room for skis and other small items. While the Omega was a conservative four door sedan with a handy fifth door, there was no mistaking the sporty personality of the Firenza. Bucket seats and a floor mounted manual transmission were part of the package. All four GM divisions had high performance V6 engines available for 1985. Sport suspension options and sporty dress up packages provided the handling and the visual flash to go with the performance.Underpowered and not particularly well made when first introduced, were problems eventually rectified.
