1986 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 & Sprint 4-Door Test Drive

Cavalier finally offered the Z24 package with 2.8 liter V6, 4-speed manual transmission, 14-in. Goodyear Eagle GT tires, and electronic instrumentation. “RS” series joined the 13-model Cavalier lineup that included three 4-door sedans, three 4-door wagons, three 2-door coupes, three 2-door hatchbacks and a convertible.
Sprint, via Suzuki, introduced Sprint Plus 4-door, upgraded interior, increased availability of automatic transmission, all-season radials as standard. Even a convertible was promised. The 1.0-liter L-3/5-speed remained the favored drivetrain combination.
