1986 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Manufacturer Promo

Firebird was offered in Base, SE and Trans Am models.  Entry level Firebird received similar upgrades as the Camaro Sport coupe. 2.5-liter L-4 was the standard engine, while SE revived the 2.8-liter V6 and 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.  Trans Am was basically a holdover from 1985 with a 5.0-liter carburated (160 hp) and 5.0-liter EFI (210 HP) engines available with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. Redesigned pull-down rear hatch and 140 mph speedometer were the minor changes for 1986.
