1987 BMW 735i Test Drive

With this new model, BMW raised the standard for Eurosport luxo touring sedans to a considerably higher level.  Using a new platform which was reported to be extremely rigid, the new 7-series sedan was lower, shorter, wider and lighter than its predecessor but with more interior space.  Even with improved aerodynamics which gave it a noticeably rounder shape, the 735i clearly retained its BMW identity.
